Sr. Citizen Meet

A Senior citizen forum meeting was held on 17th August 2010; The meeting was a sincere attempt to bring the NGOs on a common platform to work collaboratively & collectively & to Brain storm the NGOs to replete innovative ideas and ventures on various projects .The meeting was to provide a space for interaction for the pioneers of social working groups. This attempt is for UWB to look forward for developing a project where in the NGO can work collaborative & collective on an identified project at their areas.

9 NGOs had actively participated in the meeting and expressed their views for working together & giving something back to society.

The NGOS briefly explained the activities conducted by their NGO’s. The members discussed the major problems faced by Senior citizens of Baroda. The areas for intervention Identified during the meeting is as follows
	Theli Project – Awareness to general people. vegetable vendors, school kids And contributing to keep city clean
	Medical Aid – Counseling & awareness for protection against the medical malpractices by doctors.
	Medical Appliances requirement.
	Activation of Senior citizen counters at Banks & other public services areas.
	Wheel chair for senior citizen at railway stations.
	Legal aid to senior citizen
	Cultural event & Talent show.
