Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009, a School Management Committee (SMC) needs to be created in all primary schools.

To enhance the capacity building, members of SMC are being trained. Under this building, the measures of the Mid day meal scheme, the grant offers to SMC, reading materials for all over school development plans have been included. The training attempts to educate the members of SMC about the equality that is required under Right to education (RTE) Act 2009, the role of SMC, documentation of school activities, quality enhancement good health, cleanliness and motivating them for practising the same.

The members of SMC are being provided with this training by NGOs. UWB has also taken a major initiative in this regard.
