About United Way Worldwide (UWW)
United Way is a national network of more than 1,300 locally governed organizations. Building on more than a century of service as the nation’s preeminent community-based fundraiser, United Way engages the community to identify the underlying causes of the most significant local issues, develops strategies and pulls together financial and human resources to address them, and measures the results.

United Way International was created more than 30 years ago, in 1974, with the objective of growing the United Way movement worldwide.

The most common key missions of global United Ways have been to provide, assist or promote:
Community needs assessments
Information and referral to human service agencies
Fostering information exchange and collaboration among service agencies
Community-wide fundraising campaigns inviting all people to give, and not just the wealthy
Organizational activities and money managed according to a strategy, a budget, and strict financial controls
Community-wide planning councils, bringing agencies, donors, city leaders and other groups to a single table to address problems together
Allocation of funds to carefully-investigated agencies, based on the community councils’ strategies
Volunteerism
About United Way of Baroda
The main aim of United Way of Baroda is to develop sharing and caring attitude amongst fellow citizens and to provide funding to worthy non-profit organizations.

Baroda is the first city in India where the United Way was established in the year of 1986.

United Way of Baroda has made a difference to the society ever since it was established. United Way of Baroda is working incessantly for funds allocation to several NGOs along with training in different aspects of NGO management, resource mobilization as well as mobilization of individual volunteers.

United Way of Baroda has also presented and is implementing some innovative ideas such as 2-Way Benefit Card and Gold Card (for Senior Citizens). They offer a variety of services, at your doorstep, essential in today’s fast-paced living, but often difficult or expensive for the ordinary citizen.
